Most Valuable Partner (“MVP”) helps users better understand themselves and support their relationships. This means users may trust us with personal information about their health, cycles, moods, families, and relationships. We take that responsibility seriously.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you.

Who We Are

Better Self, LLC, doing business as Most Valuable Partner (“MVP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates the MVP iPhone app and the website at mostvaluablepartner.app.

MVP is based in the United States and is currently available only to users in the United States.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on the features you use. Some features are optional, and you may use MVP without connecting to a partner.

Account Information

We collect the name and email address you provide when creating an account. We also assign your account a unique identifier.

We use this information to:

• Create and secure your account
• Authenticate your sessions
• Help you recover your account
• Personalize your experience
• Connect accounts when users choose to link with a partner
• Respond to questions and privacy requests

Cycle and Hormonal Health Information

Depending on the features you use, we may collect:

• Your hormonal or reproductive life phase, such as cycling, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, perimenopause, or menopause
• Period start and end dates
• Cycle length and cycle-history information
• Cycle estimates and predicted phases
• Period information imported from Apple Health at your direction
• Period information you choose to send from MVP to Apple Health

We use this information to provide cycle tracking, estimates, phase-related education, and personalized guidance.

Cycle predictions and phase estimates are provided for personal awareness only. They are not medical diagnoses and should not be used as a substitute for professional medical care.

Apple Health

MVP may allow you to import period history from Apple Health. You choose whether to grant access and how much available history to import.

When you choose to import information, MVP reads the authorized data and stores the information needed to provide cycle tracking and personalization. MVP does not continuously read new Apple Health information unless the app clearly asks for and receives permission to do so.

MVP may also offer a separate option to send future period entries from MVP to Apple Health. This feature is off unless you turn it on. If enabled, period entries you make in MVP may be copied to Apple Health.

Turning this feature off stops MVP from sending new entries. Information already sent to Apple Health remains there until you remove it through Apple Health.

You can review or change MVP’s Apple Health permissions through the Health or Settings apps on your iPhone.

Apple Health information is not used for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking.

Mood Check-Ins and Calendar Information

You may optionally check in and record how you are feeling. You may also use the MVP calendar to track:

• Moods and daily check-ins
• Period information
• Daily notes
• Other information supported by the calendar

We use this information to display your history, help you identify patterns, and personalize your MVP experience.

You can return to your calendar and add, edit, or remove entries at any time.

Birthdays and Family Information

You may optionally provide:

• Your birthday
• The birthdays of children you or your partner have

We use your birthday to display birthday messages, recognize milestone birthdays, and, if you connect with a partner, provide optional birthday reminders or related guidance.

For children, the month and day may be used for birthday reminders, while the year helps us tailor guidance to the child’s age and stage of life.

We do not ask for or require children’s names.

Preferences and Love Languages

You may optionally provide love languages and other onboarding or personalization preferences.

We use this information to personalize content and recommendations. If you connect with a partner, some preferences may also help personalize the connected experience.

You can change these preferences later from your profile.

Partner Connections

MVP can be used independently or connected with a partner.

When two users choose to connect using a connection code, we store the account relationship needed to provide connected features.

Depending on the features and sharing choices enabled, a connected partner may receive limited information designed to help them offer appropriate support. This may include:

• Your current cycle or hormonal phase
• Your current mood or check-in signal
• Personalized guidance generated from information you choose to provide
• Birthday or milestone reminders
• Preferences included in the connected experience

A connected partner does not receive your account credentials or unrestricted access to your raw cycle history, calendar, private notes, or other information that MVP does not expressly identify as shared.

When accounts are unlinked, the former partner loses access to connected information going forward.

Activity and Progress Information

MVP may collect information about how app features are used, including:

• Completed recommendations or moves
• Completion dates and timestamps
• Streaks, awards, and badge progress
• Responses indicating whether support was helpful
• Feature interactions needed to operate and improve the app

We use this information to provide app functionality, calculate progress, and understand how MVP is being used.

Notifications and Device Information

If you enable notifications, Apple provides MVP with a device token that allows notifications to be delivered to your device.

We use this token only to send app notifications. Notification content is designed to avoid displaying sensitive health information on your lock screen.

You can turn notifications off through your iPhone Settings at any time.

Website Information

The MVP website may use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel, cookies, and similar technologies to understand visits, measure marketing performance, and learn how people find the website.

These tools may collect information such as:

• IP address
• Browser and device information
• Pages viewed
• Referring website
• Approximate location derived from an IP address
• Cookie or advertising identifiers
• Interactions with website content

Website tracking is separate from information inside your MVP account. We do not intentionally send cycle, mood, calendar, or other in-app health information to website analytics or advertising tools.

You can limit website tracking through your browser’s privacy settings, tracking protections, or cookie controls.

Where Information Comes From

We may collect information:

• Directly from you
• From Apple Health when you authorize an import
• From a connected partner through connected app features
• Automatically from your device when required for app operation
• From website analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

• Operate, maintain, and secure MVP
• Create and manage accounts
• Provide cycle tracking and calendar features
• Personalize educational content and recommendations
• Provide optional connected-partner features
• Send notifications and reminders
• Respond to support and privacy requests
• Diagnose technical issues
• Improve app functionality
• Prevent fraud, misuse, or security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not use health, cycle, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, mood, or relationship information for targeted advertising.

How We Share Information

We do not sell health, cycle, mood, or relationship information collected inside the MVP app.

We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances.

With a Partner You Connect

When you choose to connect with a partner, MVP shares only the information identified as part of the connected experience.

With Service Providers

We use service providers to operate MVP. They may process information only as necessary to perform services for us.

Supabase

Supabase provides database, authentication, and backend infrastructure. MVP data may be stored using Supabase infrastructure hosted through Amazon Web Services.

Apple

Apple provides services including Apple Health, App Store distribution, and Apple Push Notification Service.

Apple processes information according to its own privacy policies and the permissions you choose on your device.

For Legal and Safety Reasons

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law or valid legal process
• Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, MVP, or others
• Investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• Enforce our terms and policies

When legally permitted and appropriate, we may notify affected users of a request for their information.

Business Changes

If Better Self, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

We will provide notice if a transaction materially changes how personal information is handled.

What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell health, cycle, mood, or relationship information collected inside MVP.
• We do not use in-app health information for targeted advertising.
• We do not use Apple Health information for advertising or marketing.
• We do not allow advertisers or data brokers to access information inside your MVP account.
• We do not collect precise location through the MVP app.
• We do not give connected partners unrestricted access to raw cycle history, private notes, credentials, or information that is not expressly shared.

Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

These safeguards include:

• Encryption in transit using HTTPS and TLS
• Encryption at rest through our infrastructure providers
• Account authentication controls
• Database access restrictions
• Row Level Security policies
• Limited notification content
• Access controls intended to prevent unauthorized access

No security system can guarantee complete protection. If a security incident affects your information, we will provide notices as required by applicable law.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide MVP, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the security of the service.

You may edit or delete individual calendar, period, mood, and preference entries where the app provides that ability.

When you request account deletion, we delete or de-identify account information according to our deletion process, except where limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or backup integrity.

Information copied from MVP into Apple Health is controlled through Apple Health and must be removed there separately.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:

• Request access to information we maintain about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion
• Obtain a copy of certain information
• Withdraw consent for certain processing
• Appeal the denial of a privacy request
• Opt out of certain uses or disclosures where applicable
• Exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination

You can update many entries and preferences directly in MVP.

You can also:

• Delete or unlink a partner connection
• Turn off notifications in iPhone Settings
• Change Apple Health permissions through your iPhone
• Delete your MVP account through the app

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Consumer Health Data

MVP may collect information that qualifies as consumer health data under certain state laws, including cycle information, pregnancy or reproductive phase, mood information, and inferences generated from that information.

Our consumer health data practices are described throughout this policy, including:

• The categories of health information collected
• Where the information comes from
• Why the information is collected and used
• The service providers that process it
• Information shared through optional partner connections
• How to exercise your rights

We do not sell consumer health data.

Where required, we will obtain consent before collecting or sharing consumer health data for a new purpose not described when the information was collected.

Children’s Privacy

MVP is not directed to children. You must be at least 17 years old to create an account.

An adult user may optionally provide a child’s birthday to receive age-relevant guidance or birthday reminders. MVP does not ask for the child’s name, contact information, account credentials, or direct participation.

If you believe a child has created an MVP account or provided information directly, contact hello@mostvaluablepartner.app.

Medical and Professional Disclaimer

MVP provides general education, organization, and personal-awareness tools. It does not provide medical diagnoses, treatment, therapy, crisis care, or other professional services.

Cycle estimates, phase information, relationship guidance, and personalized recommendations may not be accurate or appropriate for every person or situation.

Consult an appropriately qualified professional about medical, mental health, legal, or safety concerns.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as MVP changes or as legal requirements evolve.

The effective date at the top identifies the latest version. If a change materially affects how we collect, use, or share sensitive information, we will provide additional notice and obtain consent where required.
